Inspired by this week's topic for Illustration Friday; bounce.
This is Gabby Douglas, a 16-year-old athlete in this year's Olympics. She won the gold medal in both the team all-around and the individual all-around competitions in gymnastics, making her the first black woman in history to win the individual all-around.
I really admire her strength and her bravery as she faces the media. She doesn't give up, no matter how tired she is, and she doesn't try to change herself to please people. I wish the best of luck to her in the future!

Oh wow! I LOVE this... I've been following the olympics like crazy, and I'm a big fan of her. I love the way you added gold into the illustration.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah. Yeah, I can't help but admire her. The Olympics are so much fun to watch!
